Project Two - Sequencing
|
Roberta Flack's "Killing Me Softly" was first released on August 1, 1973 by Atlantic Records. The record shown to the right has been played in my home more times than I can count and has become an important part of my life. The piece follows a relatively simple
A-B-A-B-A-B pattern, with a few subtle surprises throughout. |
Above is a screenshot of my entire piece. Each instrument has its own track except for the top track which contains both an acoustic guitar and an organ. The bottom three tracks are all harp and act as the vocals that are normally present in this song.
Below there are screenshots of each "Expand2" file for each track. As shown, instruments vary in where their sound is placed, along with varying releases and cutoffs. I did my best to surround the listener with the sound. The sound itself is very warm and I wanted it to wrap around the listeners up like a blanket.
